Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2335.12 Opportunity: Med Surg RN Job Details: • Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Patient ratio of 1:6 • 54-bed unit with a daily census of 24 patients • Every other weekend required • No on-call required • Holiday coverage required including Thanksgiving OR Christmas/Christmas Eve based on unit need, plus other recognized holidays as needed • Floating within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities may be required • Block scheduling requests can be submitted prior to assignment but are not guaranteed • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks • 2 years of Med Surg experience required • First-time travelers accepted • South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • IV start skills required • Telemetry and management of cardiac drip experience preferred • Scrub color: Royal Blue • Charting system: Epic • Free parking available in any unrestricted space • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September • Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with general Med/Surg diagnoses including Covid • Key skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, telemetry monitoring, wound care, IV management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of cardiac drips among others Facility: This acute care hospital operates with 119 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive inpatient medical and surgical services. The facility supports a wide range of patient care needs and utilizes Epic as its electronic charting system. The Med Surg unit consists of 54 beds across 31 rooms and maintains consistent staffing ratios of 1:6 across days, nights, and weekends to ensure quality patient care.
