Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry, Tehachapi, California. Provides coordinated nursing care for individual patients or assigned patient groups while applying the nursing process and established standards of care. The role supervises assigned nursing staff, coordinates interdisciplinary care, supports patient and family education, and uses critical thinking to promote safe, effective outcomes.

Job Details Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or American Red Cross (ARC) Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Acute care facility experience.

Additional Information: Collects and analyzes patient data to identify diagnoses, care concerns, and desired outcomes. Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing, and compassionate care. Provides health education to patients, families, and members of the care team. Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment and annually thereafter when applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.
