Start Date: 10/12/2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts Shifts Per Week: 3 Weekly Hours: 36 Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend rotation and holidays as needed Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250 Orientation: 24 hours Registered Nurse Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in Neuro Med/Surg or Telemetry within the last 3 years Epic charting experience required Current BLS certification from AHA required Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start Strong clinical skills in Med/Surg nursing and telemetry nursing Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations Ability to float as needed and work a collaborative team-based schedule Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care for medical and surgical neuroscience patients Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Care for post-surgical patients including spine surgery, brain tumor, craniotomy, and ophthalmology cases Support patients with neurological conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and spinal cord injuries Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and perform routine nursing assessments and interventions Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including therapists, providers, pharmacy, and rapid response resources Educate patients and families while promoting recovery, safety, and evidence-based nursing practice Maintain accurate documentation and support unit workflow in a high-acuity healthcare environment Apply now to join this Madison, Wisconsin healthcare opportunity and take the next step in your Registered Nurse career today.
