Job Details Location: Albany, GA 31701 Setting: Acute Care Med/Surg Unit Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nurse Job Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Schedule: Every other weekend Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week Duration: 17 weeks Start Date: 9/6/2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800–$1,890 Charting System: MEDITECH Orientation: 16 hours Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing or comparable acute care experience required At least 1 year of nursing experience with 1 completed travel assignment BLS certification required NIHSS certification required ACLS certification preferred Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting strongly preferred Must be comfortable managing a 1:6 patient ratio on days and nights Ability to work every other weekend and maintain reliable attendance Professional, patient-focused approach with strong attention to safety and quality Responsibilities Provide direct bedside care for Med/Surg patients with a variety of acute and complex conditions Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, GI bleed, renal failure, dialysis-related needs, DVTs, ETOH, and psych-related concerns Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including therapies such as Lasix, Bumex, and Heparin Deliver wound care, post-surgical support, and care for patients recovering from amputations and debridements Support safe, coordinated care across acute care and cardio overflow patients Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to maintain high-quality patient outcomes Document accurately in MEDITECH and maintain strong communication with the care team Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment for every patient assignment Apply now for this travel Med/Surg RN opportunity in Albany, Georgia, and join a healthcare team committed to quality patient care.
