Job Title Registered Nurse – Telemetry Location Gilbert, AZ | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 12-hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care for ED hold patients awaiting inpatient bed placement, with a primary focus on telemetry and medical/surgical patients Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently — no monitor technician is available on unit Titrate and adjust cardiac drips (including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone) per physician orders and established parameters Assist with ED patient support tasks such as vital signs, IV starts, and medication administration as needed (will not serve as primary RN for ED patient assignments) Float to med/surg, telemetry, overflow units, and affiliated ED locations as needed Complete 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period and rotate holiday coverage with permanent staff Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in the state of Arizona BLS certification required ACLS certification required Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum of 2 attempts permitted) Must pass a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day of orientation Strong cardiac telemetry background required; minimum 2 years of telemetry experience preferred Must be able to titrate and adjust cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters Preferred Experience / Skills Experience caring for ED hold or boarding patients in an acute care setting Familiarity with common titratable drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a mixed medical/surgical and telemetry patient population Why Join Us Self-scheduling flexibility available, offering a degree of control over your work-life balance PCT support available on unit, allowing nurses to focus on higher-acuity telemetry care Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 800244.
