Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2347.84 Opportunity: RN Cardiac Tele RN focus Job Details: • Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on various days of the week • Every other weekend required • No on-call requirements • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required • First-time travelers accepted as long as experience requirements are met • Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS • Charting system: EPIC (experience required) • Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 • Scrub color: Navy Blue • Unit focuses on cardiac patients but also takes all types of med-surgical patients • Cath lab related and neurosurgery cases included • Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units as required • Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • 18-bed unit • Required skills include telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, heparin and insulin protocols, IV insulin protocols, post angiogram care, post cardiac surgery care, post MI care, pre/post neurosurgery, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and use of rapid response/code teams • Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy Facility: This healthcare facility is a well-equipped medical center offering comprehensive cardiac and med-surgical care. The unit supports a wide range of patient diagnoses, with a strong focus on cardiac care including cath lab-related procedures and neurosurgery. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support services and utilizes EPIC as its electronic charting system, ensuring a collaborative and technology-forward care environment.
