The role involves delivering competent patient care, administering prescribed medications, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, and interacting with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. The RN is responsible for documenting patient responses, delegating tasks to support staff, and making referrals to appropriate personnel.
