Details 355-bed Duke Lifepoint hospital with a Trauma Level 3 designation Cardiovascular ICU unit located on the 2nd floor with 8 beds Patient population includes adult and geriatric cases with diagnoses such as CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and Carotids Patient ratios of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 Uses Impella, IABP, and CRRT equipment Charting performed in Cerner EHR Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 36 guaranteed weekly hours over a 13-week assignment Weekend requirement of every other weekend or as needed to meet facility needs No on-call requirements Floating required per scheduled rotation Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required, including 1 year of CVICU experience after orientation Associate Degree in Nursing required Strong critical thinking skills required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration Copies of required certifications must be provided Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid interventions Scrubs of any professional color are acceptable Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment Orientation requires starting on a specific scheduled date American Traveler Job ID P-779529.
