Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neuro ICU Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Staff Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuroscience ICU (NSICU) – Nights – Honolulu, HI The NSICU is dedicated to the care of patients with neurological illness. The unit operates on a 24-hour basis, with 24-hour neurointensivist and neuroscience acute care nurse practitioner coverage. QMC has the only dedicated NSICU in the State of Hawaii and supports Hawaii’s first (and currently only) TJC Comprehensive Stroke Center, the only American College of Surgeons Level I Trauma Center and only NAEC Level IV Epilepsy Center. The NSICU can also provide care to overflow medical, surgical, and cardiac ICU patients Schedule • Night shift (day shift openings not currently available) • 36 hours/week, every other weekend Requirements • BSN required • Minimum 12 months of ICU RN experience within the last 3 years • Current BLS and ACLS; PALS required within 3 months of hire • Active Hawaii RN license required by start date Preferred • Level I neuro trauma ICU experience, NIHSS certification, Magnet hospital background Pay & Benefits • Starting pay from $58.65/hour, based on experience • Night shift differential $5.75/hour; charge RN differential $4.00/hour • Relocation assistance: $7,500 bonus $3,500 housing stipend • Tuition reimbursement after 1 year • Unlimited overtime available Apply today for immediate consideration!
