Details 37-bed surgical unit that also accepts overflow medicine patients Patient ratios of 4 patients per RN from 0700-2300 and 5-6 patients per RN from 2300-0700 Day shift (4x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) available Every 3rd weekend required No on-call requirements Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system Requirements Active or pending MN RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Epic/Excellian charting experience required Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-6 required Preferred skills include bariatric surgery, bowel obstruction, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, PICC line management, CBI, renal failure, PCA, wound care/wound vac, and surgical drain management 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Date of birth, SSN, and RTO details required for consideration Additional Information Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation Total of 317 staffed beds First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem) RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days Pre-start modules required prior to starting assignment American Traveler Job ID P-777322.
