Details Float pool position covering roughly 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units across metro campuses with no assigned home unit Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 6:45 to 19:15 Can accept 36 or 48 hours per week Patient ratio of 1:5 Weekend requirement of 8 shifts within a 6-week scheduling period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit No on-call requirements Uses 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell equipment Cares for patients with sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID Requirements Active KS or compact RN license required, Missouri licensure also required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred 1 to 2 years of recent experience required in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, or Neuro Stepdown settings Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care required Preferred skills include sheath removal, feeding tube care and management, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care Pending license not accepted Additional Information Provide telemetry and cardiac monitoring care while floating between Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU units as needed Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days Travelers with 18 months of tenure must have a 3-month break in service; former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travel partners not accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply No block scheduling accommodations available American Traveler Job ID P-767052.
