Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Surgical Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 9 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Surgery Tech Job Summary Performs various duties as a member of the surgical team to ensure a safe and successful operative procedure. This position functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and directly reports to Surgical Services management. Surgery Techs are expected to support system-wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. Additionally, they actively participate in the surgical operations safety plan as outlined. Required Qualifications Ability to maintain a sterile field and ensure environmental safety. Knowledge of surgical services and sterile processing. Ability to recognize and address sharps and fire safety processes.

Experience in surgeries support within the surgical team.

Experience in life support situations related to surgical care.

Experience in sterile field management and sterilization processes.

Experience in supervision within surgical services (within ORT scope). Required Education Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program. Graduated from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six (6) months (not eligible for Tech in Surgery exam).

Two (2) years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three (3) years. Required Certifications & Licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Preferred Certifications & Licensure Active National Certification as an ORT in Surgery.
