Details 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients including CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases Patients are admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week 36 hours per week Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required BLS certification required ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of start ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge activities Collaborate with inter-professional care team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs Facilitate patient and family education and support discharge planning with Case Management Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower pay rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-777748.
