Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit Southern Kentucky. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, and supports safe, effective rehabilitation outcomes. The role also supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while coordinating care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Job Details Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift; minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.

Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within eight hours of admission, develops individualized plans of care, documents assessments and patient responses, participates in rehabilitation programming, initiates discharge planning and patient education, communicates changes in patient status, delegates and supervises ancillary nursing personnel, promotes patient and employee safety, and assumes charge responsibilities following the orientation period as requested.
