The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients on the Colorectal Surgery unit, offering compassion and expertise in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring safety and comfort. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Monitor and interpret vital signs and patient conditions, responding promptly to changes. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to established protocols. Float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department as needed to meet operational requirements. Participate in patient education initiatives, promoting health and wellness. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility standards.

Qualifications Must have a current and valid nursing license in Ohio or a compact state. Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the Med/Surg Tele specialty required. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.

Ability to work rotating shifts (day/nights) as operational needs dictate. Willingness to work at least every other holiday. Successful completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.

Schedule This position involves a 3x12-hour shift rotation, with responsibilities during both night and day shifts. Specific scheduling may be adjusted according to the operational needs of the unit.
