Hours: 36 hours per week Orientation: 16 hours Holiday Requirement: Must work at least every other holiday during the assignment Travel Registered Nurse Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; a permanent Ohio license or compact license must be in hand at the time of submission At least 1 year of recent permanent nursing experience in medical-surgical telemetry or a closely related specialty Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification completed before the start date Recent Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, completed within the past 12 months Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation Completion of required credentialing, background screening, and pre-employment health requirements Med-Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry and cardiac step-down patients Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to clinical changes Administer medications and treatments safely while following established protocols Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic Provide clear handoff communication and support patient and family education Apply now to join this Canton, Ohio travel nursing team as a Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse on the night shift.
