Details Step Down unit within a hospital setting Targeted patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5-6 Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30) 36 or 48 hour weekly contract options Requires EPIC EMR experience Floating required to main, south, and north campus locations within 15 miles at facility discretion Must work every other weekend and holiday Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per contract due to low census Requirements Active OH RN license or compact license required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required 1.5 years of experience preferred, with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred IV start skills preferred Travel experience preferred EPIC charting experience required Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract Additional Information Provide nursing care to telemetry and step down patients, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management Skills may include ventilator care, central/PICC line management, cardiac drip management, and wound care Float priority given to travelers based on skillset and unit census Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, must be requested at time of submission with no changes after offer Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying Rehire approval required for any previous Premier Health employees prior to proceeding with an offer American Traveler Job ID P-779934.
