Details Work in an 18-bed Pediatric Med/Surg unit providing high-quality, short-stay care Unit features two distinct sides supporting efficient patient flow and team collaboration Patient population includes appendectomies, tonsil/adenoidectomies, viral illnesses, ingestions requiring medical clearance, and behavioral health concerns with underlying medical needs Day shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00) Floating required between this facility and a sister hospital located approximately 12 miles away Medication/dosage competency test required during first week, requiring 100% pass rate with up to three attempts allowed Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required, along with a Kansas RN license (KS license may be pending with documentation of application for main campus assignments) Current BLS and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association only; RQI certifications not accepted) Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required Med/Surg experience required Behavioral/psychiatric and Pediatrics experience preferred Two professional references from a supervisor or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration Additional Information Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across a wide range of acute and transitional pediatric conditions Gain experience in a fast-paced, supportive team environment Smoke-free and nicotine-free campus; facility conducts nicotine testing First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers AHA certifications must be scheduled immediately upon job acceptance if not already active American Traveler Job ID P-774395.
