Details Acute care hospital setting in the ICU/Critical Care unit 5-bed ICU presently, with expansion to a 10-bed unit planned Adult and geriatric patient population; no pediatric patients Patient ratios of 2-3:1 Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical cases, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric (SI) patients Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers Charts in Medhost EHR Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Every other weekend required No on-call requirements No floating requirements Requirements Active RN license valid in Tennessee (Standard or Compact) required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience, critical care experience preferred Strong critical thinking skills required Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start Additional Information Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 trauma ICU setting Work alongside a collaborative, close-knit team Bi-weekly orientation held on Mondays Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear not permitted Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment American Traveler Job ID P-743330.
