Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501 Start Date: November 30, 2026 Location: Eureka, California Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:00). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights: 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation Care for high-risk obstetric patients in a culturally diverse community setting RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive labor and delivery care Unit features 11 rooms with 15 beds and average daily census of 15-20 patients Postpartum experience preferred; opportunity to work with neonates, infants, and adults Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Requirements: Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted) Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP Epic charting system experience required Patient ratio experience of 1:3 Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, cesarean section circulation, postpartum care, breastfeeding support, and newborn assessment First-time travelers accepted Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Willingness to float to meet facility needs within scope of practice Why Join Us?
