Details 26-bed surgical telemetry unit caring for patients needing surgery or recovering from surgery Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 3x12 schedule, day shift 7a-7p Weekend and holiday rotation required Requirements Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license BLS and ACLS certification required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior experience required though previous nursing experience preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members Additional Information Provide holistic, patient and family-centered nursing care across all phases of the nursing process Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatments within RN scope of practice Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge processes including discharge teaching and coordination with case management Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits Must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-767043.
