Job Description: - Location: San Antonio, TX - Unit: CVICU (652) - Shift: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A - Assignment Length: 13 Weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 Position Highlights: - Join a renowned team providing high-quality care in a vibrant community. - Experience a dynamic work environment focused on patient care and advanced medical practices. - Work alongside top professionals in cardiology and critical care. Required Skills: - 2 years of ICU experience - Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines) - Ventilator management expertise - Strong critical thinking skills - Active ACLS and BLS certifications - NIH Certification required Preferred Skills: - Exposure to IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) - Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) - Familiarity with Meditech charting and order entry Unit Environment: - Procedures performed include: - Post CABG - Post VAD - Post Cath with cardiac support devices (IABP, Impella, ECMO) Dress Code: - Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pant; navy or white scrub jacket - Personal grooming policies ensure a professional appearance: - Clean and healthy nails - Neat and clean hair with no extreme styles - Cleanly trimmed beards, mustaches, and sideburns - Body art should be covered as feasible - Visible piercings (other than ears) are prohibited Floating Policy: - All travelers are required to float as needed. Attendance Policies: - Clock in time: 6:38 am/pm; after 6:45 is considered tardy. - Badging in and out for shifts is required. - A full 30-minute lunch break is provided.
