Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Unit: MedSurg 5100 — 41 beds Weekly hours: 36; 48 available upon request Requirements At least 2 years of strong MedSurg experience, 1 completed travel assignment, and Level II trauma experience Active compact RN license AHA BLS and NIHSS Recent Epic experience; checkoff class required Remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, urinary catheters, ostomies, heparin drips, blood administration, trach care, and PCA management Strong assessment, critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability Schedule and patient care Patients: Postsurgical patients, UTI, sepsis, COPD, CHF, and high fall risk Ratios: Days 1:4–5; nights 1:6–7 Weekends: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule Holidays: Every other holiday On-call: None listed About TotalMed RN TotalMed is a Top Ten, travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency with the mission of igniting purpose in healthcare.
