Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care in accordance with the Nursing Process and relevant policies and procedures. This role involves critical thinking, scientific judgment, and effective leadership to ensure the safe delivery of care to patients in the Emergency Department. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room. Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Delegate patient care responsibilities to support staff based on their education and experience. Ensure adherence to state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Maintain clinical competencies and stay updated through continuing education.

Qualifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.

Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred. Active Alabama nursing license, free of any hits.

Additional Information This position requires the ability to work nights and weekends, including every other weekend. Initial assignments are for a duration of 13 weeks. Location Position located in Alabama.
