Details Combined Med Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment requiring comfort across all three specialties 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital setting with a 24/7 emergency department Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric RN to patient ratio of 5:1 depending on acuity, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed Call possible during periods of low census Medhost EMR experience required Requirements Active NH or Compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) Minimum 3 years of experience in PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry Medhost EMR experience required Basic dysrhythmia test required in profile Rural or small facility experience highly preferred Previous travel experience highly preferred Must be able to work independently with minimal orientation Additional Information Small, rural unit requiring the ability to hit the ground running with minimal support Personal scrubs of any color permitted Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered Up to 5 days of requested time off may be approved for this 13-week assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload No non-billable orientation provided First-time travelers may be considered if experience requirements are met American Traveler Job ID P-760141.
