Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in York, Maine.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor, Maine. This position provides compassionate, professional nursing care to assigned patients in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating complex patient assignments, administering medications safely, and collaborating with patients, support persons, and the healthcare team.

Job Details Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027.

Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in Maine or compact licensure Good standing with the Board of Nursing Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire and maintained throughout the position Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) One year of current hospital nursing experience Additional Information: Applies evidence-based practice, accepted protocols, and nursing judgment to maintain professional nursing standards. Demonstrates knowledge of orthopedic procedures, treatments, equipment, and oncology patient care. Coordinates, organizes, and prioritizes complex multiple-patient assignments. Implements nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides safe medication administration and evaluates and documents effectiveness. Directs paraprofessional care activities and maintains effective communication with patients, support persons, and the healthcare team. Participates in committees and initiatives supporting patient satisfaction, quality care, and improved patient outcomes. Follows nursing policies, procedures, and the Nurse Practice Act of Maine.
