Department: Dialysis Unit Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM Hours per week: 36 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours Contract Duration: 13 weeks Position Overview A Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in providing care to patients with impaired kidney function who require hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. The RN is responsible for operating dialysis equipment, monitoring patients throughout dialysis treatments, administering prescribed medications, and ensuring safe and effective delivery of dialysis care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis. Operate and monitor hemodialysis equipment. Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Monitor vital signs and recognize complications. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards. Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses. Educate patients about dialysis procedures and kidney disease management. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
