Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Registered Nurse Location: Richmond, Virginia Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130 Start Date: November 9, 2026 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, through February 8, 2027 Shift: Night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and two holidays during the assignment Orientation: Approximately 24 hours Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Unit Profile: 34-bed neuroscience-focused PCU with telemetry monitoring and progressive care capabilities PCU Travel Nurse Requirements Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact state, active and in hand at the time of submission At least 2 years of recent PCU, progressive care, or comparable acute care nursing experience Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Recent experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias Telemetry nursing experience EPIC charting experience required Trauma Level I experience preferred BSN preferred Willingness to float within the nurse's scope of practice when needed Availability for night shifts, every-other-weekend coverage, and two holidays as required by the assignment Progressive Care Nurse Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological, neurosurgical, otolaryngology, trauma, orthopedic, surgical, and medical diagnoses Care for patients with conditions including stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, head and neck trauma, and postoperative surgical needs Monitor patients requiring progressive care and telemetry observation, recognizing and responding to changes in clinical condition Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias according to clinical protocols Administer medications and treatments, complete assessments, and document care accurately in EPIC Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary support services to develop and implement individualized plans of care Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the assignment Apply now for this Richmond, Virginia travel nursing opportunity and join a dedicated progressive care healthcare team.
