This position involves working three 12-hour night shifts each week with a focus on complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases. Shift Schedule Three 12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Essential Responsibilities The Cardiothoracic RN will be responsible for circulating a variety of complex surgical cases, including but not limited to: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) Impella procedures Valve surgeries Heart and lung transplants Thoracic surgeries Vascular surgeries Surgical oncology Colorectal surgeries Minimally invasive surgeries (e.g., Da Vinci Robotics) Plastic surgeries Endocrine surgeries Bariatric surgeries Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiothoracic environment. Ability to independently circulate complex cardiac cases. Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or a multi-state RN license required prior to the start of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required, both must be from the American Heart Association (AHA). Radiation badge is required and will be provided. Must be comfortable with potential emergency response assignment during hurricane season. Travel and Local Candidates Local candidates will be accepted on a case-by-case basis and must adhere to the local radius rule. Hospital Highlights Designated as a Level I Trauma Center.
