Details Telemetry unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend (EOW) scheduling Floating to other telemetry floors required as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required in hand BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications via AHA required Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive telemetry experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital required Level 1 Trauma experience required Degree from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution required Epic charting system experience required Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, medication administration, cardiac drip management (no titration), and respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment prior to starting first shift Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response for patients with dysrhythmias Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays, covering both day and evening shifts Smoke-free facility Local candidates considered within a 60-mile radius at a reduced pay rate Former Broward Health employees must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Candidates must complete lab work within 72 hours of signing Non-billable orientation modules (8 hours for RNs) must be completed prior to start American Traveler Job ID P-776334.
