Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Adolescent Psych Registered Nurse (RN) The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role on the Patient Care Team, responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit. The RN delegates appropriate interventions that may be executed by other staff, supervises duties as necessary, assists in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care, provides education to patients and their families, and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of healthcare. Job Responsibilities Deliver direct and indirect patient care within the psychiatric unit. Delegate nursing interventions as appropriate and supervise their implementation. Educate patients and families on care plans and health-related topics. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and manage patient care plans. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Job Requirements Current RN license in the state of Maine is required.

Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required. A graduate of an approved Nursing program. 1-3 years of experience in nursing, preferably with children and adolescents.

Basic Dysrhythmia knowledge is preferred, or it must be obtained before completing orientation. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training is preferred, or it must be completed during orientation. Ability to work effectively as a responsible and supportive team player.
