Registered Nurse ER (Adult) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team specializing in adult care. Scheduling Details Shift Hours: ALTERNATING 7p-7a and 11a-11p Contract Length: 13 weeks Weekend Requirement: Every Other Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday as needed Charting System Experience with EPIC charting system is required. Call Off Policy The employer may cancel shifts up to three times during the 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. Required Licenses and Certifications Active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact) Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Clinical Skills Requirements IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administering IV vasopressors CPAP/BiPAP and Ventilator management Experience with CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and TBI Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Emergency care for both adult and pediatric patients including handling gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma Isolation precautions and Triage; experience with pediatric spinal cord injury Unit and Patient Care Information Patient Ratios: 1:5, including adults and geriatrics with various emergency diagnoses Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment Floating: Will be required to float within skillset Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white Facility Highlights This state-of-the-art emergency department operates 24/7 and is designed for rapid patient care.
