Scheduling Details and Charting Shift Hours: 7a-7p/11a-11p Contract Length: 13 weeks Charting: EPIC experience required Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed Call Off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled during a 13-week contract period First-Time Travelers: Accepting Local Staff: RN's within 75 miles are not accepted, but locals may be accepted for LPN positions Required License/Certifications Must have an active New York Single State RN license (NY is not Compact) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - Valid NIHSS certification required Required Clinical Skills IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs); IV vasopressors CPAP/BiPAP; Ventilator management Assessment and management of CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias) Emergency care for adult and pediatric patients, including trauma cases Isolation precautions; Triage; Pediatric spinal cord injury Unit Details and Floating Patient Ratios: 1:5 for adults and geriatrics with a variety of emergency diagnoses Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment Floating: Will be required to float within skillset Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white Hospital Highlights The emergency department features a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility with a centralized layout for efficient patient care and advanced diagnostic technology.
