Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse Emergency Room Multiple Locations. This position provides emergency nursing care in a high-acuity environment, including trauma, airway management, ventilated patient care, intravenous drip management, triage, and procedural sedation monitoring. The role includes electronic charting and may require floating between units based on patient-care needs.

Job Details Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, and on-call coverage is not required.

Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience; recent experience in a trauma or teaching emergency department within a large facility; Electronic Medical Record (Epic) charting experience; compact nursing license in hand at submission; certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and PMAB training; proficiency in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, central line management, isolation precautions and personal protective equipment, dysrhythmia management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage, and emergency airway management.

Additional Information: Patient ratios average 3:1. The position may float between units based on clinical needs. Holiday coverage is required for 3 of 5 designated holidays.
