Details Pediatric ICU unit with 9 beds Patient ratios of 1 RN to 1-2 patients in PICU and 1 RN to 2-3 patients in stepdown Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Must work 3 weekends within a 6-week schedule Float requirement to Pediatrics and NICU units Uses Alaris pumps for infusion management Documents in Cerner EMR Performs IV starts, caths, LP holds, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management Self-scheduling available Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) required PALS certification required Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required 2 years of overall nursing experience preferred US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted) Professional reference required (two references required for Florida and Missouri) No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Located in a Magnet-designated hospital recognized as a Level II trauma center with a comprehensive stroke center Part of a children's hospital offering pediatric subspecialty care and a pediatric emergency room Required scrub colors are navy blue or white, or navy pants with white tops Unit secretary coverage is available from 9 AM to 9 PM with tech support shared with PICU Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible No local candidates will be considered American Traveler Job ID P-737767.
