Details Practice nurse role within an outpatient oncology clinic setting - no infusion administration involved Cares for oncology patients before, during, and after treatment, including pre-op, post-op, and follow-up visits Responsibilities include telephone triage, inbasket management, and assisting providers during clinic visits Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM May float between specialties within scope as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT RN license or compact license required prior to start date BLS certification required ONS/ONCC certification required Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I trauma or travel experience) Practice nurse and ambulatory care experience required Phone triage experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Level I Trauma Center or large academic medical center experience required 1 professional reference required Additional Information Located at a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center with 1,567 staffed beds Royal blue scrubs required Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities RTO requests up to 7 days can be auto-approved; longer requests require additional approval Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted Former staff must have separated from the facility for at least 2 years to return as a traveler First-time travelers are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-757978.
