Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fargo, North Dakota.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor position in an acute-care setting. The role provides care for general medical/surgical patients in a fast-paced, 15-bed unit, including initial admissions from the emergency department and ongoing care until patients are transferred to an assigned unit. The position requires collaboration across medical/surgical units and the ability to manage changing patient needs.

Job Details Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday; no call.

Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of medical/surgical experience; Level I trauma experience; Epic experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) certification; ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Float: Float rotation may be required.

Additional Information: Provides care in a 15-bed unit with private rooms. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night.

Responsibilities include initial patient admissions, ongoing assessment, and care coordination until transfer to an assigned unit. The unit uses electronic medication systems, intravenous pumps, and mobile communication devices. Navy blue scrubs are required.
