Details Work in the Delivery Room unit of a hospital setting 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p, three days per week On-call responsibilities required Floating required to other units and a sister hospital nearby Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals, Universal Protocol, safe transfer techniques, and proper body mechanics Experience with Pre Admission Testing preferred Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric Deliver direct patient care in support of the labor and delivery team Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including use of two patient identifiers and safe transfer techniques Provide patient and family education throughout the surgical and recovery process Support timely completion of Pre Admission Testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Local candidates accepted at a different pay rate Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year before requiring a break prior to a new assignment American Traveler Job ID P-771158.
