Details Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting within a children's hospital Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 13-week assignment length Scheduled to work every other weekend, subject to change based on RTO and unit needs Float requirement to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and MS units as needed Unit may request a makeup shift within the same pay period for any call out or absence Requirements Active RN license (OH or Compact) in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only) Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required Minimum 2 years of pediatric hospital experience required Experience with ventilator management, airway care, and respiratory monitoring (ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP)

Experience with ABG interpretation and chest tube management Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/arterial line management Experience with cardiovascular care including congenital heart disease/repair, post cardiac surgery, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management Preferred experience with ECMO and Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD/RVAD)

Experience with CRRT preferred Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and continuous sedation/IV vasopressor administration Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one from a manager/supervisor-titled reference Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery care Floating to other units is a standard expectation and point of emphasis for this facility Candidates must be prepared to float to different units depending on assignment needs Must comply with facility-specific float expectations and receive an appropriate unit assignment when floated Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as no local candidates are accepted Cannot have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience qualifications American Traveler Job ID P-759050.
