Details High acuity stepdown Respiratory Care Unit within an ICU setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Every other weekend required Floating required as needed Holiday coverage required as needed, including 23 major holidays (eve and day) No block scheduling requests accepted Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1, up to 4:1 depending on staffing Uses Epic EMR Travel pairs will not be considered Requirements Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support Trauma and neuro experience required Trauma and stroke assessment experience required Strong critical care assessment skills required Degree required from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution combined with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG competency assessment Additional Information Provide critical care nursing in a high acuity stepdown unit, including ventilator management for acute and chronically ill patients No extended RTO requests beyond 4 days No requests for holidays off Charge RN, SICU, and MICU experience preferred Availability for overtime preferred Smoke-free facility Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced pay rate Former permanent employees of the facility must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Candidates must complete required lab work within 72 hours of signing American Traveler Job ID P-777954.
