Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Operating Room in New York requires an experienced travel Operating Room professional to support diverse surgical procedures across orthopedic, trauma, neurological, gynecological, urological, vascular, and thoracic services. The role requires strong procedural expertise, clinical adaptability, and competency in phlebotomy and intravenous placement.

Job Details Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Registered Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certifications; New York nursing license in hand; at least 3 years of Operating Room experience; prior travel experience; experience with orthopedic total joint and trauma procedures, neurological, gynecological and urological, vascular, and thoracic cases; competency in phlebotomy and intravenous placement; proficiency with required surgical procedures, including general, bariatric, otolaryngology, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic and spine, neurological, gynecological, urological, and plastic surgery cases.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Epic charting system.

Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.

Additional Information: The position supports a diverse surgical service with 14 beds and interdisciplinary support from intravenous therapy teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. Block scheduling may be accommodated when operationally feasible. Call is required. Pre-start specialty modules are required.
