Details Med/Surg unit on a 28-bed general surgical adult floor with telemetry capability Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients Night shift schedule from 18:30-07:00 Up to 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week scheduling period Holiday coverage may be required based on department needs Requirements Active RN license (Compact or OK) required Current BLS certification (AHA) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Provide direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care Carry out physician and nursing orders and communicate patient condition as appropriate Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team Must be able to work independently with critical thinking skills in a stressful environment Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility American Traveler Job ID P-770513.
