Scheduling Details Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift Details: 3x12s, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Charting System: EPIC experience required Floating: Staffing needs are re-evaluated every 4 hours, allowing floating 2-3 times per shift Weekend Requirement: May include every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling block Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per contract First-Time Travelers Accepted Local Candidates Accepted with a radius rule Please include all requests for time off and other scheduling preferences in your submission Call Off Policy: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks Required License & Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required Pending licenses accepted for candidates with a single-state license from a non-compact state Active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license required for submission Clinical Skills Required IV therapy: arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, and IV initiation & maintenance Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management, care for ventilated patients Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips Wound care: management of surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs Cardiac monitoring: dysrhythmia interpretation and management Endocrine/metabolic care: adherence to IV insulin protocols Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a Large Level 1/2 Facility required Unit Details Patient Care Unit (PCU) average nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) average nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 Hospital Highlights 703-bed acute care teaching facility and flagship location in the region Designated as the only Level I Trauma Center for Adults & Pediatrics in the region Magnet-designated for nursing excellence Affiliated with a prestigious medical school Offers advanced specialty care and a dedicated children's hospital Certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID 38651069.
