Details Work on a 10-bed adult overflow unit servicing all admitting physician teams including Neurology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Oncology Care for adult patients 16 and older with diagnoses including diabetes, CHF, COPD, renal disease, orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits Patient ratios of 1:5-7 Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Every other weekend required Mandatory floating within the Med/Surg service line, including float to MS/Tele units Cerner charting system preferred Perform general floor care including IV therapy, labs, nasogastric tubes, wound care, and assisting with bedside procedures and conscious sedation Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted BLS certification required, ACLS preferred Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to work in a healthcare facility open 24/7/365 with routine contact with contagious illnesses Additional Information Charge nurse duties as needed Coverage required for 50% of holidays occurring during the contract Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work may be required Local candidates residing within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate Local candidates are not eligible for contract extensions beyond the initial term Maximum RTO of 10 days, with no time off allowed during the first week due to orientation Work in a facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year American Traveler Job ID P-780977.
