Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Orthopedics Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience and prior travel experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to work in various capacities, including Charge RN roles as needed. Shift Details This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week, working days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). No call is required, but floating to other units may be necessary as needed.

Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including those undergoing orthopedic procedures and medical surgical care. Monitor telemetry and respond to patient needs in a 29-bed unit. Participate in patient management and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

Work collaboratively in a team environment, ensuring effective communication and patient safety. Conduct assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes. Assist in the management of patients receiving rehabilitation services in the unit's physical therapy gym.

Patient Population The unit cares for a diverse population, including: High volume: Patients recovering from total joint replacements, fracture repairs, kyphoplasties.

Moderate volume: Patients undergoing other surgical procedures, inpatient cases, and 24-hour observation medical patients.

Qualifications Minimum 2 years of nursing experience. Previous travel nursing experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
