Details 36-bed telemetry/PCU unit within a Level 2 trauma center hospital Patient ratios of 1:3 AM/1:4 PM or 1:4 AM/1:5 PM with patient care tech support Primarily total RN-based care model with limited tech availability Uses BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps Documents in Meditech 12-hour day shifts from 7a-7p Floating required to MedSurg units Bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds expected Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted) NIH Stroke Certification required Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry nursing Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills Experience managing vasoactive drips Experience with central line or PICC line placement and care US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration Two professional references required for MO assignments No gaps in work history of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide direct bedside care for cardiac and telemetry patients using new cardiac monitors for visual rhythm monitoring in each room Unit designated as a Designated Education Unit Required dress code: charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms, black or charcoal grey jackets Rotating holiday schedule applies Positive, team-oriented attitude strongly valued Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted American Traveler Job ID P-763988.
