Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/07/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical / Pulmonary Job Summary Seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Medical-Surgical / Pulmonary nursing team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care, ensuring adherence to established medical standards. Monitor and evaluate patient conditions and vital signs, reporting changes as necessary. Administer medications and manage treatments as directed by physicians. Perform necessary nursing procedures including blood product administration, central line management, and IV initiation. Provide care for chronic tracheostomy and ventilator patients. Engage in patient education, ensuring patients and families are informed about care plans and procedures. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.

Qualifications Must possess a valid Maryland or compact RN license. Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience is required. Expertise in Rapid Response/Code Team protocols preferred.

Experience in handling telemetry patients is advantageous. Knowledge in peritoneal dialysis, chronic tracheostomy care, and isolation precautions is essential. BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.

Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.

Work Schedule Shifts: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Every other weekend is required; the number of weekend shifts may vary based on unit needs. No on-call shifts are required.

Additional Information Floating to other units may be required to meet facility needs. Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests are permitted per contract, with limitations on holiday and hard-to-fill days.
