Details Urology Unit within a Medical Surgical hospital setting High acuity patient population with 1:6 to 1:7 patient ratios Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) 36 or 48 hour schedules available with block booking offered (excluding holidays) Every other weekend (EOW) required Peritoneal dialysis experience is a plus but not required Requirements Active Alabama (AL) or Compact RN license required and in good standing Minimum 2 years of experience required with strong background in high-acuity care Proficiency with insulin and heparin drips required BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred Experience working in large healthcare facilities required Comfortable managing 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratios Additional Information Provide direct patient care within a high-acuity Urology unit Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is provided Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is provided Scrub requirements: all navy, or navy pants with a white top Former permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers for 10 years after separation Travelers must take a 6-month break after completing 2 consecutive contracts before returning New travelers are welcome to apply This is a Do Not Call facility American Traveler Job ID P-775104.
