Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Join a leading acute-care hospital in Omaha, NE, as a Med Surg, Telemetry Registered Nurse. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced 36 or 48-hour contract with options for 13 or 26 weeks. As a traveler, you will be at the forefront of patient care, with the flexibility to float to meet the hospital's staffing needs. In this role, you will provide care in a 45-bed medical/surgical unit focused on both acute and chronic needs of trauma patients who are hemodynamically and medically stable. The unit is known for its high standards and fast-paced environment, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with rare instances of 1:7 at night depending on staffing. You will be required to have BLS certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital setting, with EPIC charting experience preferred. Travelers must be prepared to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs, which may include floating to the Bellevue campus. Units may include, but are not limited to, 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU. In addition to CNAs, care teams include care techs, transport teams, and paramedics. LPNs are assigned on some floors, but not all. This facility is a 100% nicotine-free environment. Weekend shifts require working 4 out of 8 possible weekend shifts in a 4-week period, with specific requirements for Saturday and Sunday days or Friday and Saturday nights. Up to two weeks of RTO is permitted, but must be submitted with the application. Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must reside more than 100 miles from the facility. Pending licenses are accepted, but if the license is not in hand at the time of submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out. Scrubs are mandatory, with RNs required to wear Steele gray scrubs featuring the Nebraska Medicine logo. Information on obtaining these scrubs will be provided upon confirmation.
