Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team for Day/Eve/Night shifts with a commitment of 36 hours per week, including rotations on weekends. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to read telemetry strips. Unit Overview This position is within a Level III Trauma Center's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), specifically the Medical/Surgical ICU. The unit comprises 20 beds and offers care to a diverse range of adult patients with complex medical conditions, including: Substance Abuse and Overdose Severe Psychiatric Conditions Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) Sepsis Gastrointestinal Bleed Respiratory Failure Cardiac Arrest Renal Failure Cardiogenic Shock The ICU staff includes attending physicians and residents available 24/7 to support patient care. Preferred Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of continuous ICU experience. Telemetry competency is required. Floating to Medical/Surgical Units is required, with patient assignments generally between 4 to 5 patients. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably EPIC. Shift Requirements Shifts will rotate between 7 AM - 7 PM, 11 AM - 11 PM, or 7 PM - 7 AM and will include working every other weekend. Night shift positions do not require rotation.
